Life after exams

I've been working for the past three days, it's like.. indescribable. No, I mean, before I get to work, I feel so reluctant to wake up, shower, and get my ass to work. But once I'm there, everything seems to fall into place, and it becomes quite fun in the end. Then I'm reluctant to go home after work. Vicious cycle, that one.

I've been having stupid dreams involving people and things I DON'T wish to be thinking about, let alone dreaming about. But I have no idea why they creep into my dreams anyway.

Yesterday I popped by the Lime Flea Market especially to look for AGL. I adore AGL. Loves their clothes. There were quite a few things I wanted to buy, but you know, tight budget, so I got a nice kimono top, and also a translucent top from another stall. Kesian guys at flea markets, there's not really ANYTHING for them to look at. Guys' things just don't appear at flea markets somehow.

Attachment at Wisma just now. Attachments get me nervous because I don't know most of the people there. I'm shy, remember? No one believes that, of course. But it was relatively okay. It wasn't crazy busy, but even though it's fully air-conditioned, I found myself sweating a fair few times. BODOH. But quite fun la, there are some nice people there and at least I had Zain as well.

Today I happily horned at some light gold Cefiro that cut into my lane. Wahhaaaa!

I need to wee-wee!!!

This morning I didn't see the new Lonerguy cos he was a little late. Sedih. And Lord knows where he is right now. Actually I'm done with school, so I can go home or go to work or whatever it is I wanna do, except it was raining like balls just now so everything is wet. So I'm still deciding what to do.

The stupid thing about sprees is that you discover things you never knew existed, that you don't really need, but you have to buy. How's that?

I tried the new Strawberry White Chocolate Latte from Spinelli's this morning, accompanied by a heart-shaped cookie or whatever. I am a sucker for gimmicks. And seasonal drinks. I love seasonal drinks. What's the deal, though? They're so good you can only have them once a year? Like lauk lodeh? Haha. I think that might be it, really.

Dropped by SB-BG (?) yesterday and they remembered Hanom. Duh, of course they remember Hanom. People remember Hanom after meeting her once. Of course, she introduces herself as Nadeeyah and I laugh my head off. Haha. I adore the white chocolate macadamia cookie. Adore adore adore. Perfect for eating with the hot espresso drinks. Yummers.

Today there was a stupid driver who turned out knowing that the lane infront of him was blocked, and then cut into my lane. Dude, you're overtaking ONE BIKE! What's the deal? So, I'm really sorry Nat, but I had to cut him off balik. [After gesturing angrily at him for ten seconds. Nothing rude, just angry.] Tit for tat. Sometimes it's justified [according to the twisted mind that is mine].

Dahlah nak terkench, takleh tahan BYE!

Over the weekend, I discovered that I own a Fujifilm Instax Mini7 camera. You know, the one that takes instant credit-card-sized photos. It's pink and I got it for my birthday about four years back or so. Why do I remember that? Because the last time I took a photo with that camera, I was in JC. HAHA. And there were still two pieces left inside. So I snapped, and got a couple of really faded shots.

Anyways I bought new film, so I can go snap-happy again!

Actually, no. It's kinda expensive. So I'm saving it for "special occasions". We took a couple at ECP, one at SB-Suntec, and one at the bus stop.

They don't even sell the camera anymore, how's that? I'm vintage! I'm cult! Woohoo!

SB-Suntec is so nice and quiet on Sunday. Very I like. All the partners were Malay and they were having fun socialising with each other. Haha. And I had the white chocolate macadamia cookie, <3<3<3!

I'm really proud of myself because so far this semester, all my work's been done on time. Yay Ain!

Did I mention? The other night I went clubbing with Chris and some fucker burnt my helmet straps and cushion in an attempt to steal it. Fucking matrips. I am no longer intrigued by them. They're all yours, Shafa.

I went to the library on Sunday and borrowed a cookbook for teens. I'm so excited to make rosti! Of course, this is assuming I actually go through with my plans. As anyone knows, I have a high activation energy.

I wanted to buy Vday candies from online but they're all gone now! Bodoh. Bodohnyer orang-orang with IB.

Went to Sentosa on Saturday and there was this funny minah [prolly underage] who lounged around in a white tube top and white shorts, and when it started raining steadily she exclaimed "Alah nanti air dier panas!" and scampered down from the shelter to the water.

"Hey, hujan-hujan asal main air?" her friends asked.

"Eh, aku satu family slalu main air hujan-hujan.. Asal takleh?"

"Kau satu family tak betul." But they joined her anyway.

Later that night we makan-ed besar at Simpang. This time we had Hotplate Egg Tofu with Mushrooms, Kangkong Belacan and Chicken Sambal. It was incredibly yummy, and also my first time eating hotplate tofu. I rock!!! I lovelovelove to makan besar, it's too fun!

Wow anyways, I watched American Gangster the other night with Christina, who slept through it. Haha. But it was fantastic, it was. Bumped into Dean, and his hair is so funny now.

I was out with Khai yesterday and once again, he was checking out the people who were staring at me. Haha. Why do they stare at me? Entah. But yea they do. There was a bunch of 17-year-old boys at the 24-hour coffeeshop, and yeah, they were macam staring at me. Flattering, but a little too young for me, no? And anyway, yeah I don't know them.

Okay fine gots to go, bye!

I got myself a white fedora today!

Haha.

It's gorgeous and I love it, I don't care what people say.

And I miss hanging out at night, but no one wants to hang out with me.

Oh and I learnt to eat tempeh and tahu! I rock!

Yesterday I played pool again! Me and Hanom versus Yoyo. We played about five games and we won the last three. Why? Because we cheated, duh! Haha but it was fun, and although I still suck, practice makes perfect, right?

These random photos are from New Year's Eve, by the way.

Oh anyway, bidding is a bitch as usual. I can't get IA2 because it clashes with Chinese 3, and I can't even bid for six modules because ENTAH, and I have to wait for round 2B to be over. WHATEVS.

Anyway yesterday was fun, thanks again Hanom for the charm bracelet, I love it! And I can't wait for my breakfast date tomorrow.

Yesterday Dean dropped by store. That's not all he dropped! He also dropped a bombshell that he tendered his resignation like, days ago! Because he signed on! OMG. I was like wailing, "Couldn't you like, get a job where I can visit you?" Haha. He says he'll pay another visit on Christmas, but I won't be around, will I? Man I miss that bugger. HAHA. I especially miss the times when we all used to buka puasa at store. Him in his socks and slippers, translating Malay proverbs to English.

Oooh I went KTV-ing with Khai on Friday night, and we were walking back from Ming Arcade when I spotted this crumpled piece of paper on the ground. Thing was, it was a familiar, coveted sort of pattern that made me stop in my tracks. I thought it was a trick, that there was someone lying in wait, hidden, with a camera to capture the next sucker who picked up the note. But Khai was like, "Ambik aje lah!" so I bent down and picked it up. Ten whole dollars! Thank you, drunk stranger, for dropping it on the ground.

I got my first Brazilian today! [Yeah, I know, overshare, but who cares? My blog, my rules.] It didn't even hurt that bad la, I was all scared for nothing. This rocks man! I can finally go for real tanning without having to worry about things poking out. *jumps around* In fact, I think I'll go next week. Sun, let's make a date for next week okay?

Yesterday I was studying at Afghan Mac's with Dayah and OMG, I had to pee so badly and they'd already closed the toilet, so, adamantly refusing to go to the coffeeshop toilet, I got on the bike and rode to freaking Tampines Mart to pee. Unfortch for me, a bunch of McDelivery mats and their skanky minah-groupies were macam hanging around outside. Buat semak je. Whateverlah eh.

I finally tried the "Mega Mud" at Megabites yesterday. And no, that's not the opposite of "Super Minah". WAHAHA. It's pretty nice. It's not a mudpie, according to my imagination. But it's nice anyway. Like the brownie with ice-cream, except a little less brownie. That's why it's cheaper.

I had the grand idea of studying at store just now, but apparently mak has implemented a don't-go-in-the-back-room-if-you're-not-on-shift rule. And what's the point of studying at store if you can't walk in and out? So I didn't. I left before the jam. Heheh.

Did I mention Khai called me yesterday too? Well, Khai called me yesterday too! Yey! I love it when he calls.

Okay off to study!

Monday, October 29, 2007

I've been busy. Busy doing what? Busy avoiding school, getting into bike accidents, and spending time with Khai. Busy overnighting at school, at An's place, at Hanom's. Busy hanging at Simpang, shopping and bumming around at home.

I can't go for practicals because I'm in mild pain, and I suck enough when I'm in tiptop physical condition, so let's give it some time. I can't seem to do my work at home, but I don't want to study outdoors by myself. I miss Khai so much I keep cursing my phone inwardly for being so silent.

Thank God for friends, who help distract you. On Saturday night I went out driving with Atikk and Dayah. We went to Al-Ameen Bukit Timah where we had naan, yums. But the next table had this whole spread of food, with soups and macam all sorts of dishes we wished we'd ordered. And they topped it off with ice-cream goreng, which we just had to have. After that Atikk let me drive to KAP. Haha. All I can say is, nasib baik tak banyak kereta.

Then we drove to school and passed by a fatal accident at Clementi. Inalillah. And I spent the rest of the night working on lab report. Next morning, I went to get a couple of photos printed and the two angels had breakfast with me at Afghan Mac's while waiting for Khai to wake up. In the meantime, we watched the 90387540274 near-crashes at the irresponsibly-designed carpark. Highlight being the pakcik in a Wish which nudged a McDelivery mat's bike, *CRASH!* Worst part was, he got out of the car and immediately started on the poor guy. Well maybe it was the abang McDelivery's fault for parking there when he's not supposed to, but STILL. Kau yang langgar dier per Wish! Tak sadar diri kau tu besar ke? Tak dengar back sensor beeping its ass off ke? The least you could do is give a grudging sorry before terus marah-marah dier pe. It's his livelihood, man.

Well, Atikk sided with the Wish, as usual. So aku malas nak layan. I know where my loyalties lie. It was a pretty big drama though.

Yeah what an exciting Saturday/Sunday.

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I saw posters for Oktoberfest around science just now, and you know what? One of the features was "sausages (halal)" and I died because wow, halal sausages are such a draw to a Muslim who drinks! Oh. Merepek.

The Megabites auntie says I have lost weight. Aper je. It's a flattering cut, is all. Haha.

I spotted Fir at the carpark just now, wonder what he's doing here.

Speaking of brothers, this morning I gave my brother a lift to school cos he was macam late. He woke up at eight when he was supposed to be in school at eight. So I jokingly offered him a lift, but I was jolted out of my sleepiness when he actually accepted! Therefore, I was unable to put on makeup, wax, or any sort of beauty aid that would make me passable for human consumption.

Raya was boring as balls. But malam raya was nice. Except for I didn't interact with any cute mats, sedih kan? Ohwell there's always clubbing. I have another embarrassing video of Atikk to add to the collection. Yey.

I went out with Naz and Mat last night. Weird kan? But it was practically Naz's first time in Pasir Ris, so I decided to macam honour her presence and all. Even though it was the middle of ANTM8. Well but everywhere in Tampines was closed. So we went to Simpang. Where my beloved Spize was closed.

Ended the evening off at An's! So fun! But now I'm tired nak mamps.

Friday, October 12, 2007

Eight hours to malam Raya!

Are you excited?

I hate Raya but I love Ramadhan. Malam Raya sort of combines the two, cos it feels like Ramadhan but it's already Syawal, it's terrific.

Ok bye!

Monday, October 08, 2007

If I could get a tattoo [or tattoos], I know one would be the traditional Chinese character for love, and another would be my name in Jawi. Yey. Ohyeah and the third would be a butterfly, front-facing [i.e. symmetrical]. Double yey.

Aku sleepy balls, but I wanted to blog about my fantastic Geylang trip before I forget a single detail. WAHAHA.

So anyway, it was an uneventful Friday in school, where Lonerguy told me to smile pasal muker aku masam sangat, and he also called me Baby Bop for reasons yet unknown to me.

After school, I met up with Hanom after 7492740 hours of frustration with her PMS-y phone. We spent Buona Vista to City Hall deciding where to buka. We're such annoying indecision-makers, I swear. Anyways we finally settled on Lavender, i.e. tulangs at Beach Road. Not that either of us was planning to eat tulangs. Tulangs are meant to be eaten at home where you can wash off stains immediately.

It was turned out to be a fantastic and berbaloi decision. We got there at 615, so still early and macam banyak seats for the taking. So kiter macam relek2, and because we were far from the mama lorong, we decided to get nasi ayam penyet and nasi goreng kampung respectively. I'm sorry, but there were macam 3729472 mats, most of them young though. But a few promising ones. Like this fair-skinned, slim guy who macam reminded me of my dad. Haha. I was macam laughing and fiddling with my hair, and we happened to bertentang mata at that time, so I guess dier ingat aku senyum kat dier. Cos he spent the rest of the meal macam watching us from his table, 802737 tables away.

Well after that was Geylang, of course. We bussed down and had a toilet break at SingPost first, haha. Visited PutuPiringBoy. He is so adorable wow. Anyways then we stood at the Nippon Paint-Joo Chiat traffic light waiting for Dayah to find us, and guess who was macam crossing the road from Joo Chiat? My dad-lookalike, that's who. And he spotted us too, and he macam gave me a Look, and I got all flustered and had no idea what to do, so I tried smiling, and he was just macam staring even as he walked away.

Yup. I did my inai at some booth next to TKC. It's amazing, people are always attracted by live displays of henna-drawing. I don't get it. It's the same thing every year, innit?

We walked from TKC back to the food tent cos Dayah nak beli Burger Ramly, but guess who we bumped into first? My dad-lookalike again!!! He kept on staring, again. GOD. What is the deal. Either you make a move or you don't, but you don't make me flustered like that, please.

Then Hanom had to cabut early so I walked around with Dayah. We were at a traffic light fanning ourselves and a bunch of mats standing behind us asked, "Panas?" So I replied, "Taklah, sejuk!"

"Oh, sejuk eh, nak kipas tak?"

"Tanak ah, nak aircon!" Unfortch for me, by this time, si Dayah dah walked away from embarrassment or one of those awkward emotions. Bings aku. Buat malu aku kan. Without Dayah standing next to me I'll just look like I'm talking to thin air! Gaaaa.

I found some more cartoon raya cards near the makeshift pasar, yey. Bussed home and after that keluar rumah balik to Simpang, <3<3<3. Filled to the brim with mats, no less. Woohoooooo. There was one who looked like a boy, tapi bawak R1 seyyyy.

Here's to more cute mats next week. <3
And maybe seeing my dad-lookalike again. Haha.

Had a nice shift at work yesterday. Boring, pasal takder cute guys as usual, but it was alrite. Andy and Don were complaining because a certain someone kept taking one-hour breaks. Sigh. Suka hati kau lah nak.

Oh okay fine, Dan was there. Mira says he looks like Utt. Haha. I agree!

Then after work, Khai came by with his friend Zhafran and we hung out and watched Balls of Fury. Omg that is such a fantastic movie. It's hilarious nak mampos! And Masi Oka guest-stars, if I'm not blind. And Maggie Q is so hot, it's unbearable. AND Mowgli from Jungle Book [Jason Scott Lee was Mowgli, right?] was in it too. I don't understand why Christopher Walken is such an accomplished comedy actor, I think his face is actually pretty serious.

Anyway. Point: Funny movie. I still wanna watch The Nanny Diaries, by the way.

So this morning, we passed inspection, save for the non-blinking signal lights. And then when I reached home, I jiggled the left footrest because it just didn't feel right, and *plunk!* the batang-connector [whatever its real name is] broke off. Congrats.

Thank God for lots of things.
Thank God it didn't happen before/during inspection.
Thank God we didn't go straight to bike shop after that.
Thank God it only broke off when I reached home.

Et cetera.

I'm going crazy, this lab report is not doing my mind any favours. What's with the utterly-confusing NMR spectrum?!?!

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Yesterday was Khai's birthday. [He turned 20, fyi.]

So we hung out at Vivo. Yes, just the two of us. Don't ask me why he wasn't out with his other guy friends or whatever. Or his family. Well, he said his family semua macam busy. So yea. It was fun. I dragged him to eat rosti and calamari, followed by some SB-lovin', followed by Ben & Jerry's. *slurp*

Oooh. Remember the Calculus test I thought I screwed up? I passed! I got sixteen out of a possible twenty, yay! But remember, my friends, this is the five-people class, so I have no idea what my letter grade will be.

More 2A just now. I sucked, again. But I sucked less! Haha. And everyone was going on about how my figure 8 is so smooth, and whatever. WELL, that doesn't help my bumpy course, does it? Abeh nak bitter eh. Well, thank the Lord for my excellent figure-8 skills, but I really hope I get some bumpy course skills soon. Haha. The nice class 2 dude was there again. He's so friendly. I love friendly guys. Too bad he's prolly married with kids. No I'm kidding, aku tak suker dier or anything, I just love having someone to talk to. Takyah look so worried and unapproachable all the time.

I hope people don't think I'm showing off at figure 8 because I swear, I'm just unable to go slowly. Abeh time crank course screwed up. Sigh.

Geylang on Sunday night with Hanom and Yoyo[balls]. It was alrite, tapi two of us [you can guess which two] were wondering where all the cute mats were. Oh, there were a couple here and there, but they were either:
(a) with their pregnant wives, or
(b) minors of the age 17 and below.
So you can see I wasn't having such a fantastic mat-watching time.
But bumping into Horis and Gad was great. They're so much fun I swear. And when Zahdan arrived, all hell broke loose.

Gad: "Zahdan kau pakai makeup eh?"
Zahdan: nonchalantly "Tak, tak pakai makeup. [pause] Foundation."
Everyone looks incredulously at one another.

It was revealed later that he was also wearing lip balm and eyeliner. Haha.

Hmm yes I think I've just about covered everything. I'll end off with the overdue photos from the Wild Slumber Party at Hanom's. HAHA. They've been held over due to Ramadhan, but they'll resume right after, YAY!

Saturday, September 22, 2007

YZ forced me to be at bar on Friday, it was terrible. Okay, no, it wasn't. I didn't get any outrightly-dissatisfied customers or anything. But I felt so lost, and I didn't even have a till AT ALL. It STILL wasn't crazy busy like weekends should be. I guess it's partly cos of Ramadhan and stuff.

After work I went to An's and we hung out for awhile.

Then I got home, only to find that there were no parking spaces available. Bings giler babs sey. In the end I had to park next to a tong sampah. BODOH.

I've been bored all day and working on my lab report all day, and I'm still barely half done.

Sunday, September 16, 2007

HeyHEYhey!

So last night I was chatting to MBBK. Online, of course. Haha. He is so adorable, takleh angkssss.

It's already September and I just realised the Ain Awards are coming up! And I completely forgot about it, plus I don't think I have enough guys this year! I tried listing them, but I think I only came up to six, and what kind of a list is that, right?

Actually I don't have anything exciting to blog about. The past two weekends have been spent mainly at home. So like yeah. Sedih kan? Ohwell. My life thus far has been characterised by peaks and valleys, so I will get out of this one day. In the meantime, I'm still battling Cute Boy nightmares and new improved ulcers from the braces.

Thursday, September 06, 2007

Yey I went out with Hanom just now. BC after eons, and everyone who's anyone is gone now, but one of the girls remembers us and she gives us 15% discount without prompting. So nice.

Loadsa cute guys here and there, but Hanom took the cutest one, so I settled for the thicker guys. Haha. Bodies, not body parts! [Don't get it? Takper.]

We were just sitting outside Topshop and this manjen dude comes up to the married-with-kid malay girl smoking next to us. He beckons her forward, and she obliges, stroller and all. Haha. Rupernyer he was collecting donations. While she donated, he turned to Hanom and me and said something like, "Hello, Red Riding Hood, oh sorry, it's Brown Riding Hood.. Donations?!?!" Irritation lasted a millisecond, only to be swept away by amusement. So I donated two bucks, just because he was so daring. When he was done with the three of us, he thanked us and left, pausing to BLOW A KISS at abovementioned married malay girl. "Shh.. Secret!" was his parting shot.

Semua macam shell-shocked. Then we laughed in a much-appreciated moment of camaraderie. HAHA. She was like, "Mampos kalau laki aku nampak.." and we laughed along. Later, when her husband showed up, I burst out laughing again and she actually said bye to us.

Some minahs aren't that bad.

Anyways, we watched Ratatouille, which was, as all Pixar films, fantastic. Hilarious like balls. And lovesloves the storyline, although imagine if that were communicated in real action. GROSS. And of course, Colette is super-cool with her purple-highlighted hair and hot bike. Plus she can cook. How all-empowering is that? I want to be Colette. But I hope I end up with a hotter boyfriend ah. And did anyone spot the coffin-shaped drawing room of Ego's? KLAKAR!

We are watching Bratz together right, Hanom?

More Toddler Fashion

Yesterday (19 August 2026) was Cycle 12 of Enhertu. Cycle 11 was a four-week cycle instead of three because I skipped the would-be sesh last...
